Rose G. Ames, a lifelong resident of Woburn passed away June 23, 2020, at the Winchester Hospital after a lengthy period of declining health. She was 96 years of age. Rose was the beloved wife of the late Albert E. Ames. Born in Woburn she was one of nine children of the late Angelo and Carmina (Vincenzo) Pica.
Rose was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She worked for many years holding different jobs at several Woburn area businesses. She was a talented stitcher and loved sewing and creating doll clothing. She also loved gardening and caring for her flowers. She will fondly be remembered for love and devotion to her family and friends.
Rose is survived by her sons; Edward and Randy Ames both of Woburn. She was the sister of the late Theresa Montgomery, Joseph, Anthony, Frank, Michael, Marco, Sammy, and Alfred Pica. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and her dear friend and caregiver Shari Raposa.
A graveside service will be conducted in Woodbrook Cemetery, 100 Salem St., Woburn, Monday, June 29th, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Arrangements by the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Service of Woburn.
