Harland R. Knox, Jr., age 82, of Fairhaven died on Sunday, June 21, 2020 after a long illness. He was the husband of Judy D. (Dinsmore) Knox.
Born in Beverly, MA, he was the son of the late Harland and Marion (Spry) Knox.
Harland was formerly employed by Travelers Insurance and Northwestern Mutual. He worked as a security guard in the federal building in New Bedford. He volunteered for the Arc of Bristol County. He spent many years working for Giusti Baking Company.
He was an avid sports fan, especially his beloved Red Sox and Patriots. He enjoyed skiing, golf, playing softball and harvesting tomatoes.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Judy; a son, Andrew Knox of Fairhaven; 2 daughters, Deborah Knox of New Bedford and Ann Knox of Colchester, VT; a brother, John Knox of Texas; his sister, Mary Mackie and her husband Peter Mackie of Lexington; 2 grandchildren, Emma and Audrey Knox of Mattapoisett and his daughter-in-law Grace Knox.
He was predeceased by his son David Knox.
