Eddie Ray Bowen, Jr., 47, of Tifton passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Josh Bowles officiating. Mr. Bowen will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Tyler McMillan, Hayden Braswell, Bradley Layfield, Drake Hood, Buddy Vaughn and Joel Delk will serve as pallbearers.
Born December 9, 1972 in Gainesville, Florida, Mr. Bowen was the son of Eddie Ray Bowen, Sr. of Lake City, Florida and the late Debbie Hutchinson. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Bowen; and one sister, Idel Bowen. He was employed at Martin’s Famous Pastries in Valdosta.
In addition to his father, Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife, Shannon McMillan Bowen of Tifton; his children and their spouses, Caroline and Justin Salinas of Homerville, Britney Baker, and Brandon Bowen, both of Tifton; one sister, Kathy Plair of Enigma; and eight grandchildren, Kylee Baker, Bridgett Baker, Bryce Baker and Mallory-Kay Baker, all of Tifton and Daniel Soto, Sofia Soto, Bentley Salinas and Natalie Salinas, all of Homerville.
