Rubin J. Mikitarian, 73 died suddenly Friday in Saint Vincent Hospital. Rubin leaves his wife and soul mate of 50 years Rosemary A. (DiTullio) Mikitarian, two sons Richard J. Mikitarian of Holden and Reno J. and his wife Kristen Mikitarian of Millbury, a daughter Renee A. Mikitarian-Bradley and her husband Edward 3rd of Holden, two brothers George Mikitarian of Auburn and Murad “Rudy” Mikitarian of Harwich, two sisters Alice E. Germajian of North Brookfield and Gloria Tomaso of Millbury. Four grandchildren EJ Bradley, Ashley Bradley, Alex Bradley and Richard H. Mikitarian all of Holden and several nieces and nephews. Rubin was predeceased by his twin brother Simon “Murad” Mikitarian who died in 2003 and a son Ronald J. Mikitarian who died in 1978.
Rubin worked for the former GE/Telecrom Co. for many years retiring in 1994.
Rubin served with the Army as a Corporal from 1950 to 1953 .He was a member of Holy Trinity Armenian Church, a member of The Sons of Italy where he held many offices and played in the Sons of Italy Bocce League. He was active and participated in many events at Mount Carmel Church. He was a member of the Greendale Men’s Club and was an avid fisherman at their vacation home in Seabrook, Ma. Rubin was an accomplished Oud player with the ARAMITE Middle Eastern Orchestra.
Funeral Services will be held Monday (February 20) 11:00 AM in Holy Trinity Armenian Church, 635 Grove Street ,Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be today (Sunday) 4 to 8 pm in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. A Dhngark Service will be held during calling hours. Members of Worcester Lodge #168 of the Order of The Sons of Italy in America will conduct their Ritual Ceremony at 7:00.
