Paula (Newmark) Jackson, a longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Care One At Randolph Nursing Home. She was 83 years of age.
Paula was born in Boston on November 10, 1936, a daughter of the late Samuel Newmark and Beulah (Tracey) Newmark. She grew up in Roxbury where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Girls Trade High School in 1954. Paula began working as a hairdresser following her graduation and worked in several salons for over 20 years. She also worked for the City of Boston as a Para Teacher and retired following over 20 years of dedicated service to the City of Boston. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, watching the Boston Red Sox and her Dunkin Donuts coffee. Paula was a family orientated person and she took great pride in her 3 children and especially enjoyed her 3 grandchildren and the quality time she was able to spend with each one of them.
Paula is the devoted mother of Sherry Spacco and her husband Joseph, Thomas C. Jackson Jr. and his late wife Kim and Brandon Jackson and his wife Marissa. She is the loving Nanny to Joseph Spacco, Salvatore Spacco and Catherine Jackson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Paula's Graveside Service on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 10 A.M. in the Independent Workmen's Circle Jewish Cemetery, 776 Baker St. West Roxbury.
There are no funeral home visiting hours.
