On June 18, 2020, Laurense Louise (Sleight) Cabral passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford from pneumonia and other medical issues.
She was the daughter of the late Pearle Silva and Jens Larsen. She was the wife of the late William Cabral and the mother of Cassandra Cabral and Nicole Cabral. Her grandchildren are Jaidacie, Noah, Shawn, Haydyn, Rylan, Ariana and the late Lincoln. Laury is also survived by two sisters, Kathleen Douris and Christine Parkinson. She also leaves behind a stepdaughter, Angel Cabral and her children Orlando and Monet.
During her life she worked as a nanny, sales representative, and certified nursing assistant. Laury was a gifted artist, a lover of animals and a humanitarian. She would give anything to anyone at any time. Over the years she welcomed many people and animals into her home whenever they needed a place to stay or a meal to eat.
To say that Laury will be missed is a huge understatement. All who knew her are mourning the loss of a sweet gentle soul.
