Frank J. Sherman, Jr. age 77, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Born in Newton, MA on August 14, 1942, he was a loving son of the late Frank C. and Alice E. (Bouchard) Sherman.
Frank grew up in Needham and was a 1961 graduate of Needham High School. During the time of the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country for four years as a member of the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged on August 20, 1965 with the rank of Machinists Mate Second Class.
A resident of Mansfield for over thirty-five years, Mr. Sherman worked for many years as a machinist, prior to retiring from Howestemco, a division of Precision Engineered Products in Franklin.
Frank’s favorite times by far, were those spent in the presence of his adoring family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also very much enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his devoted children: Michelle Mandell of Milford, Tracey Lebel and her husband Michael of Milford, Rebecca Nation and her husband Chris of Hopkinton and Michael Sherman and his wife Manithong of North Providence. He was the loving longtime companion of Pamela Huggins of Mansfield and her daughter Jacqueline Zorovich and her husband Ken of New Jersey. He was the dear brother of Evelyn Marley of Walpole, Diane Foley of Canton, Karen Humphrey of Centerville and the late David Sherman and Richard Sherman, he is also survived by his cherished 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Services, along with burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
