Louise H. “Grape” Nelson, of Hudson, NH died February 21, 2006 at her daughter’s home in Hudson. Louise was born in Hudson on April 3, 1915 a daughter of the late Lewis and Blanche (Buckham) Holton. Louise was divorced in 1956 and moved to Nashua, NH where she made a home for her younger daughters. She moved to Hollis, NH, and retired from Lowell General Hospital where she was a cook for many years. She then moved to Lincoln, NH where she enjoyed the mountains, bird watching and pretty walks. After her broken hip in 2004, her granddaughter, Donna spent many nights with her. When she fell in January 2006, she moved in with her daughter Debbie, where her daughters took turns caring for her. She will be missed all her family and friends.
She is survived by six children, Robert “Bobby” Nelson and his wife Jan of Tennessee, Phila Brill and her husband George of Maine, Betty Griffin and her husband Francis of Massachusetts, Evelyn Walker and her husband Jim of Nashua, Debbie Dionne and her husband Ray of Hudson, Jean Hanson and her husband Russell of Nashua, 23 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Phyllis Bourgault, her son, Lewis Yeaton “Yate” Nelson, her grandson, Richard Nelson and by her great grandson. Her grandchildren called her “Grape”.
