WORCESTER: Richard W. “Richie” Barbour, 42, died Tuesday morning, June 16, 2020 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, after a long period of declining health.
He leaves his wife of 5 years, Meghan L. (Williams) Barbour; two sons, R.J. Barbour and Anthony Barbour; two daughters, Ashlynn Linstrand and Morgan Hall; two brothers,
William Messier and his wife Annette of North Oxford, Ronnie E. Barbour of Worcester;
and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late William R. “Bill” Barbour and Sandra J. (Messier) Barbour. He was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School and Johnson & Wales University in Providence.
Richie was a chef at various restaurants throughout Worcester County. He enjoyed bowling, camping, golfing, playing cards, was an avid pitch player and fan of all New England sports teams. He will be remembered for having a unique sense of humor and the love he had for his family and friends.
