FALL RIVER – Roger J. Langlais, age 81, died at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home after a long period of declining health. Born in Fall River, Ma on March 22nd he was the son of the late Henry and Rita (Mercier) Langlais. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 ½ years, Jeanne (Hamel) Langlais, and two sons Mark and David Langlais. He is survived by his daughter Paula Ferland (husband Raymond) and brother Rene Langlais, along with two grandchildren Armand and Renee.
Shortly after marrying his wife Jeanne, they moved to multiple states including Connecticut and California where he worked in the aircraft industry as a machinist. They then moved back to Fall River, Ma in 1980. He retired from Globe Manufacturing after 20 years as a machine operator. In his younger years he attended Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, and loved to attend dances where he would eventually meet his wife. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years in Tiverton, RI. He enjoyed working with his hands in his shop, gardening in the yard, and painting. He will be loved and missed by his family and friends.
