Obituary


WORCESTER-Donald C. Converse, 85, of 9 Stockholm St., died peacefully, Monday, February 20 at home. His wife of 52 years, Florence A. (Johnson) Converse died in 1997. He leaves two daughters, Linda, wife of William Davis and Sharon, wife of John Welch, all of Worcester, a sister, Grace Wydler of Mystic, CT, three grandchildren, Carrie, wife of Christopher Verrier, Erin Reyes and Gwen Davis, four great grandchildren, a close friend of the family, Gina Ingram of Charlton, several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Callahan in 1992, two brothers, Charles and Roger and two sisters, Mariam and Edith.

He was born in Charlton, son of Lester and Annie (Dudley) Converse and graduated from Charlton High School. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Converse was a truck driver for Johnson Brothers Construction Company in Auburn for 37 years retiring in 1985.

The funeral service will be Thursday, February 23 at 11:00 AM in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service in the funeral home.
