Obituary

LEICESTER-George T. Corsac, 89 of 31 Carleton Street, formerly of 24 Edlin Street, Worcester died Monday November 19th at home after an illness.His wife of 68 years Mary B. (Laukaitis) Corsac died in June. He leaves a son Thomas G. Corsac of Worcester; 3 daughters Nina Harkenrider of Yarmouth, Mary M. Salmon of Rochdale and Katherine S. Wood of Worcester; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, many nephews and nieces. A son Francis X. Corsac died in 1956.

He was born in Worcester son of Anthony M. and Nina (Lapinski) Corsac. Mr. Corsac had been a manager at Thompson Steel & Wire Company for 44 years before retiring in 1978. Mr. Corsac along with his wife were co-founder’s of Our Lady of Vilna Church. He was also a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, a charter member of the St. John’s Pioneer Club, and a 50 year member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

The funeral will be held Wednesday November 21st from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 20th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of the Angels Building Fund, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603 or to the Visiting Nurses’ Association, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
