Robert A.”Bob” Loiacono, lifelong resident of Medford, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, June 8th. He was 82. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Ponziano and Natalie (Moriconi) Loiacono.
Robert enlisted in the United States Navy in the summer of 1955, from Boston, he was honorably discharged.
Bob was a talented cook and baker, he enjoyed hosting for his family and friends, he poured love into all of his culinary delights, they were made from scratch and were known to be delicious. Frequent trips to the neighborhood Market Basket was a must and Bob loved finding the best deals.
Robert was a dedicated employee at Kodiak; serving as their superintendent up until his recent retirement. He looked forward to going to work each day and spending time with his extended work family.
Robert was the devoted father of Deborah Loiacono Vernava, and her husband Frank Jr., and Shelia Brown, and her husband Ian. He was the loving Papa of Luca and Marco Vernava and Max and Jack Brown. He was the dear brother of Nancy Weymouth, George Loiacono, and his wife Gracie, and Richard Loiacono, and his wife Kim, and the late Louis (Sonny) Loiacono, Susan (Loiacono) Masley and Maryann Loiacono. He was the loving partner of Margaret (Peggy) Campbell and her children Jane and Joseph Barrell, Jennifer Campbell and Julie Campbell and their children who knew Robert as Grandpa Bob. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
