David J. Blanchard, age 61, passed away on June 5, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on February 15, 1959 in Springfield, the son of the late Frederick and Shirley (McClelland) Blanchard. David worked in construction for many years. He was a loving husband to his wife Michelle Blanchard of Chicopee; and a dedicated father to his children Adam Blanchard of Easthampton, Joshua (and his fiance Jennifer Prescot), along with Matthew, Aiden,Tyler and Ciaira Blanchard of Chicopee. He also leaves his sister Doreen Pepin of FL and his ex-wife Elizabeth Blanchard of Chicopee. David was an avid sports fan always rooting for the Patriots and Red Sox. David enjoyed to swim and go camping and was an animal lover, leaving his dog Bailey to watch over his family. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Grise` Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee.
