FALL RIVER - Fernanda (Almeida) Barroso, age 96 of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. Born in Ponta Del Gada, Sao Miguel, Acores, Fernanda was the daughter of the late Jacinto and Alexandrina Almeida, and the wife of the late Humberto C. Barroso.
Fernanda was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church and loved to spend quality time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Lucia Tavares (husband David) of FL, Graca Medeiros (husband Jorge) of Fall River, Octavio Barroso (wife Mary) of Fall River, Mario Barroso (wife Judy) of Westport, Fernando Paul Barroso (wife Lisa) of Fall River, and the late Fatima Barroso; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews. Fernanda was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are invited to attend Fernanda's funeral mass on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in St. Michael's Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
