CORNISH- Melissa Beth Scott of Cornish, Maine, born to Neil H. and Deborah Dehmer-Scott February 25th, 1995, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on June 3rd, 2020, surrounded by family. Melissa graduated from Sacopee Valley High School in 2013. She attended the University of Southern California, Southern Maine Community College, and the College of the Atlantic graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Ecology June of 2020. Melissa enjoyed traveling and recently was able to fulfill a dream of seeing Hawaii. She spent time in Mexico as an exchange student and teaching middle school aged children the English language. She was very artistic in pencil drawings and had a real passion for reading and writing. She enjoyed the simple things in life, making memories with her family, friends, and more recent a loving relationship with Kyle Ferguson and his family. Melissa was predeceased by her mother Deborah Scott, maternal grandparents Robert and Irene Dehmer, paternal grandmother Claire Scott, an uncle Roy Scott and a cousin Zachary Scott. She is survived by her father Neil Scott, paternal grandfather Robert Scott, brother Jonathan and his wife Barbara Winslow, a niece and nephew, several uncles, aunts, and cousins. She will remain in our hearts and be forever missed by all those who loved her. A service will be held at a later date for family and friends to remember such a beautiful soul.
