Mindy Elizabeth Ferrin, 28, of Haverhill, MA, died suddenly Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in Malden, MA, after a long battle with substance abuse. She was born in Nashua, NH on June 18, 1991, and had been a resident of Haverhill, MA, for several years, formerly living in Derry, NH. Mindy attended Calvary Christian School and Pinkerton Academy in Derry. She earned her GED in Exeter, NH, while working and living with her father in Seabrook.
Mindy was always thankful for the support, prayers and much love from so many people over the years. She hoped to be victorious and help others in this struggle one day as an addiction counselor. Mindy was gentle, thoughtful, kind-hearted, helpful, fun-loving, and she had faith in Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was beautiful, worthy, special, important, unique, loved, supported, blessed, and irreplaceable. More than anything, she loved her daughters and held them close in her heart.
In addition to her father, Douglas Ferrin of Haverhill; and her mother, Nancy (Pacheco) Ferrin of Derry; she is survived by two dearly loved daughters, Adalynn Elizabeth Despres of Salisbury, MA, and Gemma Rose Ferrin; five brothers, David (and Emily) Ferrin, Jonathan Ferrin, Daniel Ferrin, Christopher Ferrin, and Stephen Ferrin (deceased); aunts, uncles, cousins and one niece.
Private services were held. The burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to www.hismansion.com.
The family is planning a memorial service at a later date. All will be invited.
