Eleanor B. DeRoche, 91, of Londonderry, NH, died Tuesday June 2, 2020 in her home after a period of declining health. She was born in Lawrence, MA on November 11, 1928, a daughter of the late Alfred and Mildred (Abbott) Christison, and had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 22 years. She was raised and educated in Methuen, MA and had lived for 33 years in Andover, MA. Mrs. DeRoche was a homemaker and a beloved "Super Mom" and “Super Gram”. For over 20 years she worked in the kitchen at Andover High School. Prior to that she did the bookkeeping for her husband's business - Armands Auto Body. Mrs. DeRoche was an avid knitter, puzzle maker and loved boating on Lake Winnipesaukee with her husband. Eleanor will always be remembered as loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Judith Donahue and her husband Robert of NH, Joyce Thibodeau and her husband James of MA; two sons, Gary DeRoche of MA, and Steven DeRoche and his wife Mary of NH; her seven grandchildren, Michael Marcinonis and his wife Natalie and their son, Eleanor’s great grandson, Sören, James Marcinonis, Victoria (DeRoche) Carmeille and her husband Thibault, Danielle Thibodeau, Jacob Thibodeau, Joseph DeRoche, and Andrew Thibodeau; two sisters, Shirley Serigos, and Beverly Morin and her husband Arthur as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Armand DeRoche in 1991, and her daughter, Diane Marcinonis in 2017.
Following cremation, a celebration of her life will be held Tuesday July 28, 2020 at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry from 1 to 2:30 pm with a memorial service at 2:30.
