Arleen M. (Usher) Cambigue, age 72, passed away on June 1, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on May 7, 1948, a daughter of the late Harkless and Doris (Pomeroy) Usher. Arleen lived in Chicopee most of her life. She graduated from Chicopee High School in 1966 then started work at Steiger’s and a book bindery before finding her place at Dunlop Florist as a sales clerk and book keeper for many years. She was a loving wife and mother, and was kind to everyone she met, treating her daughter's and then her granddaughter's friends as if they were her own. She was predeceased by her daughter, Laura Verallis, who passed away in 2018. She leaves behind her husband of 52 years Rodney Cambigue of Chicopee; her granddaughter Samantha Mainville of Chicopee; her brother Fred Usher and his wife Judy of AZ; and her niece Kristen Schoonover and her children Garrett and Grace of Chicopee. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Grise` Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 10 people will be rotated in the funeral home at a time and all persons must wear a mask or facial covering.
