Obituary

D. Pauline Lowney, 70, of New Bedford passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 2, 2020 at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River after a period of declining health.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John P. and Irene (Boudreau) Lowney, she resided in New Bedford for most of her life. She was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School.

Pauline worked in the food service industry, both at St. Luke’s Hospital and UMass Dartmouth.

Pauline was an avid New England Patriots fan. She was very devoted to the Blessed Mother of Jesus Christ. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed her childhood years with all her siblings. She especially enjoyed the summers at the family cottage in Winseganett Heights, Fairhaven.

She is survived by her siblings, Eileen M. Lowney of Fairhaven, Jane P. Fowle of Connecticut, Ann M. Lemenager and her husband Normand of New Bedford, Timothy P. Lowney and his wife Susan of Dartmouth, and James D. Lowney and his wife Christine of Connecticut; and many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Noreen Parker, John P. Lowney, Jr., and Daniel J. Lowney.
