Obituary of Marie Nicole Blaise
Marie Nicole Blaise passed away peacefully from this life at the age of 58 on the afternoon of May 30, 2020 after a gradual decline in health following a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family throughout this hardship.
Nicole was born on October 23, 1961 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and immigrated to the United States in 1989 where she later became a citizen and resided in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from high school in Hyde Park, she earned her degree from Roxbury Community College, studied to be a CNA, and spent her career working at various rehabilitation centers and nursing homes taking care of the elderly. Additionally, she served in many capacities at Zion Baptist Church, including as a faithful deaconess, the president of the women’s ministry, and a dedicated member of the choir and worship team.
Nicole touched the lives of many people with her generous spirit and welcoming smile. She loved singing in the church choir, planning events, gardening, and spending quality time with her husband and children. Most importantly, she was a devoted wife and loving mother, who always made sure those around her felt loved and taken care of. Marie Nicole will forever be remembered by her loving husband Jean G. Blaise, her three beautiful daughters Thrishline, Brandy and Darshana Blaise, her mother Ociane Louis Charles, her Father Nicolas Pierre Louis, her brothers Lenes, Ronald, Reynold, Gossene, Michael, her beloved sisters Elouise, Yvenar, Micheline, Edith, and many treasured nieces and nephews. Along with the Dorleans, the Lisieuxs, and countless more extended friends and family members. Those who got to know her know that she provided many words of wisdom, offered heartfelt advice, consoled many hearts, encouraged the pursuit of education, and loved life. May her soul Rest in Peace until the return of Christ!
