John S. Mikulski, 51, of Goffstown, died February 19, 2006, at his home surrounded by his family after a short illness.
He was born on January 20, 1955, in Brooklyn NY and was the son of John N. and Josephine (Gawlinski) Mikulski.
He was a graduate of Cathedral College in Douglaston, NY with a B.A. in English, he also received an M.A. in Theology from the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, NY. John was close to completion of a Masters in Reading at Rivier College at the time of his death.
John was a computer analyst for 20 years most recently at Fidelity Investments. Then a lifetime love of literacy drew John to switch to a career in Special Education, specializing in teaching reading to challenged students. John was a Wilson Reading Specialist and loved tutoring dyslexic students. John first taught at Londonderry Middle School and then currently at Manchester West (for the Bedford School District).
IN HIS LIFE:Family members include his wife of 24 years, Elizabeth (Koechley) Mikulski, of Goffstown; his mother of Brooklyn NY; two brothers-in-law; Lt. Col. Fred Koechley, of San Antonio, TX, John (Maryanne) Koechley, of Colts Neck, NJ; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday February 22, 2006 in St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave. Manchester.
Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
