WORCESTER___Martha T. (Waskiewicz) Joy, 92, of Worcester, died Friday, February 17, in Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston.
Her husband of 54 years, William H. Joy, died May 30, 1992. She leaves a brother in law, Walter Nadolink and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter Gerry Joy; brothers Zigmund and his wife Josephine Waskiewicz, Chester Waskiewicz, and a sister Olga Nadolink. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Martin and Anna (Borawska) Waskiewicz and has lived here all her life.
Mrs. Joy attended St. Mary’s High School and worked for several years at Worcester County Sanatorium. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Church. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, knitting, and crafting.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, February 21, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A visiting hour will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, in the funeral home.
