Theodore Alden Waldron, long time resident of Sharon, Massachusetts and also part-time resident of Eastham, died suddenly on February 15, 2006 at age 84. Best known as Ted, he is survived by son, Theodore A. Waldron Jr. and wife Mary McMillan of Tucson, AZ; daughters Lesley Waldron of Bethlehem, CT, Constance W. Paulson and her husband David of Kingston, MA, and Rebecca W. Suomala and husband Mark of Chichester, NH; grandchildren Anna R. Nelmes of New Hartford, CT and Adam Baker of Eagle, CO; sister Mary Smith of Murphys, CA; brother Paul Waldron of Northampton, MA; and sisters-in-law Mary Eliza McDaniel of Auburndale, MA and Clorinda Marshall of Bellevue, WA (formerly of Wakefield, MA). Ted was predeceased by his wife Nan Turner Waldron, sister Ruth Waldron and brother Chauncey Waldron Jr.
Born in Port Chester, NY on December 12, 1921 to Ruth Alden and Chauncey W. Waldron, Ted grew up in Newtonville, MA, attended Vermont Academy and graduated from Boston University. He was a veteran of WWII and went on to become Vice-President at Goldman-Sachs in Boston, MA. He was an avid fisherman, tennis player, and golfer, a former member of the Sharon Conservation Commission, and a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church. He will be deeply missed by his family and the many friends whose lives he touched.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, March 11 at the First Congregational Church, Sharon, MA.
