MIAMI, FL—James M. McCarthy, 64 years old, a former resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Friday, January 27th, at his residence in Miami, FL.
He was born in Lowell, on July 6, 1941, a son of Viola (Muldoon) McCarthy and the late James P. McCarthy. He was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception Grammar School and Keith Academy.
Mr. McCarthy had been employed as a Consultant by a Land Development Company in Florida.
Surviving him besides his mother are a daughter and son-in-law: Meredith and Major Michael Simpson, stationed in Darmstadt, Germany; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Terrence and Kathleen McCarthy and Patrick McCarthy, all of Lowell; two nephews and a niece: TJ, Sean, and Patty McCarthy; and his former wife: Kathryn (Bushnell) McCarthy, of Lowell.
He was the brother of the late Edward McCarthy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial mass to be offered Saturday, February 18th, at 10 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Private committal.
