WORCESTER – Albert D. Yaskis, 93, of 87 Briarwood Circle died Friday, February 10th in St. Vincent Hospital. His wife of 53 years, Augelie R. (Kelly) Yaskis died in 1997. He leaves a son, Raymond A. Yaskis of Worcester, a daughter, Joyce Smith of Westboro, a brother, Arthur Yaskis of Auburn, 2 granddaughters, Hollie Oswald and Abbie Smith, and a great granddaughter, Ryan Oswald.
He was born in Worcester son of Stanley and Domiceli (Yankna) Yaskis, and had attended Worcester Boy’s Trade. Mr. Yaskis worked as a machinist for Heald Machine for 26 years, retiring in 1977. Mr. Yaskis also worked as a civil service employee during World War II at Pearl Harbor repairing weapons. He was a member of the Lithuanian Naturalization Society and was an avid fisherman.
