Obituary

Marilyn J (Franke) Doulette, 87, of Raynham, passed away on May 13, 2020 at Life Care of Raynham. She lived in South Easton for 52 years before moving to Raynham.

Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late George A. Franke and the late Evelyn M. (Chalmers) Franke. She was also the sister of the late Evelyn Septelka and the late Ralph Dale Jr.

Marilyn grew up in Holbrook and graduated from Stetson High School as the class valedictorian. An avid pianist, she often played the piano at school assemblies.

After raising her own children, she spent many years as a private childcare provider. She loved music and attended many events each summer at the South Shore Music Circus.

Once retired, Marilyn loved to spend her time playing online scrabble and word games with her online POGO friends. She also loved spending time with her family and her beloved Irish Setters.

She is survived by her children Diane d’Entremont and her husband Glenn of Stoughton, David Doulette of Taunton, Donna Mattice and her husband Robert of Mansfield, and Debra Doulette-Pendexter and her husband Randy of Taunton. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Christopher Mattice and Jennifer Mattice.

Due to the current Federal and State Emergency, funeral services are private with interment at Central Cemetery in Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to BestFriends.org, an organization dedicated to creating a sanctuary for abandoned and abused animals or MorrisAnimalFoundation.org, whose mission is to advance the research of animal health issues.
