Ann T. Connor, age 83, passed away on May 10, 2020 at Mount Marie Health Care Center in Holyoke after a tough battle with COVID-19. She was born on Oct. 17, 1936 in Springfield, MA, the daughter of the late Edmund A and Florence (O’Brien) Connor. She attended Elms College, Emmanuel University, Fairfield University, and American International College. She was affiliated with the Sisters of Notre Dame for many years and devoted herself to helping others and advocating for those in need throughout her life. She lived most of her life in Chicopee, taking on a devoted caregiver role for her parents and siblings. Ann worked as a school psychologist for Holyoke Public Schools, for many years before she retired in 2000. She was a communicant of Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Chicopee and more recently St. Anne's Parish, Chicopee and St. Mary's Parish, Longmeadow. Her deep faith led her to seek community, friendship and connection where ever she went. Her spirit of generosity led her to donate to many charitable groups throughout her life. She was involved in Big Brothers, Big Sisters and in her retirement she volunteered at Baystate Medical Center at the 3300 Main St. building. She remained a lifelong learner, continuing to attend workshops and lectures well into her 84th year. She is predeceased by her siblings Edward Connor, Mary Connor and Kathryn (Connor) O’Donnell. She is survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and her cherished friends near and far. Services will be held at a later date.
