Gilda Ventura, age 89 of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 due to complications from COVID 19.
She was the daughter of the late Antone V. Ventura & Amelia Tavares. Gilda attended Fall River schools and served as a nun when she was a young adult. She later was employed by Frito Lay and Tilly Balloon Corp. before retiring. She was an avid member of her church for many years. In her earlier years, she enjoyed hosting and attending bible studies, taking day trips, and spending time with family.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including her primary caretakers, Joyce (Ventura) Furtado and Joseph Pacheco. She is pre deceased by her brother Antone “Chuck” Ventura and her twin sister, Alice Pacheco.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Gilda’s funeral service will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home.
