In Taunton, James E. Carroll, Age 79, passed away in Morton Hospital following a brief illness on May 8, 2020. James was the husband of the late Judy (Randolph) Carroll. He was born in Staunton, Virginia, the son of the late William & Mary (Sprouse) Carroll. James had resided in Taunton the past 50 years and was formerly of VA. He was a landscaper before his retirement, working for Jackson Nursery. James enjoyed working on cars, watching car racing, doing yard work and being outdoors and most of all loved being with family. He is survived by his loving children, Jimmy Carroll and his wife Maureen of Raynham, Frances Carroll of Taunton, Linda Gouveia and husband David of Taunton, Fritz Carroll of Taunton, Edward Carroll and wife Sheila of Taunton and Brenda Nolette of Taunton. He also leaves his siblings, Rosa Carroll, Chessie Dice, Jackie Kelly and Sarah Nebo. James also is survived by his 9 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Funeral services are private at the request of the family.
