Worcester – Joseph J. Bullard, 85, of Worcester passed away peacefully in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home on Monday, May 4th after an illness.
Joseph was married for 43 years to the late Marlene A. (Duprey) Bullard who died in 1999. He is survived by his four children, Joy Carbonneau and her husband, John of Worcester, Colleen Brownstein and her husband, Scott of Shrewsbury, Leo Bullard and his longtime companion, Michele Roy of Goodyear, AZ and Jodi Bullard of Worcester; a sister, Beverly Volent of Shrewsbury; 5 grandchildren, Jenna Olson, Jaime Carbonneau, Sophia Brownstein, Samuel Brownstein and Sasha Brownstein and many nephews and nieces.
Mr. Bullard was born in Worcester, son of the late Leo and Eleanor (Hughes) Bullard and is also predeceased by a son, Joseph J. Bullard Jr. and his two twin brothers, Donald and Ronald Bullard.
Joe worked as a licensed plumber for most of his life with Local 4 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and later worked at Worcester City Hospital until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and took great pride in telling his story about how he was able achieve a hole in one at the Saddle Hill Golf Club on Friday, May 13, 1966.
Due to the restrictions in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic the funeral services for Mr. Bullard are being held privately with burial in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
