Dorothy E. Moore, 83, of E. Derry, NH died Thursday February 16, 2006 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry. Mrs. Moore was born in Boston, MA on March 13, 1922, a daughter of the late Charles P. and Eva L. (Ells) Carney. She was raised in Dorchester, MA and had resided in Revere and Malden, MA before moving to Derry in 1961. Mrs. Moore retired in 1995 from Ames Department Store in Derry and had previously worked for Hadco Printed Circuits in Derry from 1980- 1985. She was a member of Windham Artists Association, a group of artists who painted landscapes and crafts. She received ribbons for her work at area art shows. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Derry.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Corrigan of Lansing, MI, her daughter, Barbara Corrigan of E. Derry, five step children, Susan Moore of Maine, Kathryn Morin of Wilmington, MA, Robin Morin of Andover, MA, Michael Moore of Montana, Daniel Moore of New Hampshire, three grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her sister, Stella Johnson of Hull, MA. She was predeceased in 2001 by her son, Robert J. Corrigan and by her husband Edward J. Moore.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday February 21st at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial will be in the Spring in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. Friends called on Monday from 5 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., Northeast Affiliate, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101 or to St. Vincent De Paul, 177 Wilson St., Manchester, NH 03103.
