Hilda P. (Pitta) Dantas, 88, died at the Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brockton on Thursday, February 16. She was the wife of the late George P. Dantas. Born in Lowell, she was educated in Madeira, Portugal before moving to Stoughton 65 years ago. She was a housewife. Mrs. Dantas was a member of the Portuguese National Club in Stoughton and the Stoughton Golden Agers. She was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton.
Mrs. Dantas is survived by her brother, Jose Pitta of Venezuela and her sisters, Mary Pitta of Venezuela and Augustina Lival of Portugal. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Beatrice Silva and her brother, John Pitta. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, February 21 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
