Mario D. Gomes (76) of Brockton died May 3rd in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. He was the loving husband of Maria M. (Monteiro) Gomes of Brockton.
He was born in Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde, son of the late Maria Josefa Delgado Gomes and Eduardo Tavares Silva. Mario worked in the healthcare industry as a nurse and was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 5 sons, Eduardo, Mario Alberto, Mario Margarito, Mario Wilson and Mario A. Delgado Gomes, 2 daughter, Nadia K. Delgado Gomes and Arlete Gomes, his sister Maria Delgado Gomes, 15 grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 State, National Mandate and for the Health and Safety of the Community, Services for Mario Gomes will be held privately at the family's convenience. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery.
