Debalie C. “Debbie” Janes, a resident of Andover, passed away at the Merrimack Valley Health Care Center in Amesbury on Tuesday morning, April 21, 2020. She was 74 years old.
Born in Queens, New York, Debbie was the beloved daughter of the late Edward T. and Emily C. (Bergami) Janes. She is survived by her daughters; Michele S. and her husband Scott Schadhauser and grandson Ryan M. Schadhauser all of Plaistow, New Hampshire and Nicole R. Nutting of South Carroll, New Hampshire her granddaughter Tiffany A. Mayo and her husband and their recently born son, Maverick of Northfield, new Hampshire.
Debbie raised her family in Andover with the help of many cherished friends. Special mention to the Andover Police and Fire Departments for their assistance through five decades.
Her most rewarding administrative position as Receptionist was with Oclocom Systems, Inc. Wilmington, enabled her to speak with and interact with people in forty-one countries on a daily basis. She retired in 2010 after a fifteen year career with Putnam Investments. Proficient in Calligraphy, crocheting tons of afghans, writing poems and short verses were some of her interests. If you knew Debbie, you knew her gypsy style personality’ her annual solo trips to Maine, her spirit of adventure and her love of the ocean.
She settled in Andover Commons in 2014; her days of being truly independent coming to a close. She found peace and spiritualism in her final years of reclusiveness. She will be laid to Rest in Peace with her beloved dad in Nashua, New Hampshire. Debbie never says Good Bye.
