Michael Sherman Laisure, 53, of Saugus passed away on Monday, April 27, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital of Boston. Born and raised in Michigan, he was the son of Donella (Gerard) Laisure and the late Sherman Laisure.
Michael loved the outdoors - fishing, swimming, gardening, and carpentry. He was always building something and working around the house. Michael was the family's go-to guy for fixing things, he loved to cook, especially on the grill, he was a huge Patriots fan and was a fantastic football player himself in high school. Michael was incredibly hard-working - he started his own business in his twenties, and it remained a passion throughout his life.
Michael was the beloved husband of Patricia (Mucci) Laisure. He was the devoted father Samantha Laisure and Jack Laisure, both of Saugus, and Danielle McPherson and her husband Eddie of Somerville. Michael was the adoring grandfather of Charlie McPherson, and the dear brother of Mary Regazzini and her husband Bob of Amesbury, MA, Joanne Kowalski and her husband Frank of Bay City, MI, Pat Wittkopp of Traverse City, MI and her late husband Dan, Paulette Laisure-Pool and her husband Dave of Phoenix, AZ, John Laisure of Essexville, MI, Sam Laisure of Escondido, CA, Don Laisure and his wife Pam of Eagle, CO, and Mark Laisure and his wife Mary-Beth of Essexville, MI. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Beau.
