TEWKSBURY - Eileen Catherine Ward (Daggett), 77, passed away peacefully late Monday afternoon surrounded by her children. She is predeceased by her husband, James R. Ward, with whom she raised 8 children. James R. Ward, Jr. from Rockland, MA, Elizabeth Frongilo and her late husband John from Florida, Mark and Joanne Ward from Pembroke, MA, Michael and Robbin Ward from Stoneham, MA, Eileen and Patrick Hurley from Rockland, MA, Kathleen Costello from Tewksbury, MA, late Robert J. Ward formerly from Pembroke, MA and Leanne Ward from Billerica, MA. Eileen is also survived by her 17 grandchildren and her 4 great-grandchildren for whom she loved so deeply and would do anything for. Eileen is predeceased by her parents Wallace and Dorothy Daggett as well as her brother, William Daggett, and sister, Dorothy Kessinger (Daggett). She is survived by her brother Robert Daggett and many nieces and nephews. Eileen took great interest in her kid’s lives from the time they were born to all sporting events and dancing school for her daughters. Eileen took pride in being a homemaker until the passing of her husband who had his own cleaning business. She took over some his clients and the cleaning was never work to Eileen, rather, it was her hobby. When she wasn't caring for her own kids, Eileen took care of her grandchildren and then went on further to care for her great-grandchildren. She had the pleasure of being able to take care of many other kids outside of her family. Eileen had a special hand and heart when it came to kids and maintaining a clean and safe home. She would often say that cleaning and doing laundry was her therapy. Eileen sold her home in Pembroke, MA where she had raised her family. Eileen moved to Tewksbury and lived with her daughter Kathy and her family. A lot of fun and heartwarming memories were made. As the Alzheimer's progressed her children had to make the very hard decision to move Eileen into The Blaire House in Tewksbury. This is where Eileen called home for the remaining years of her life. Eileen lived a fulfilling life always around her family and friends. A graveside memorial service will be planned in the later months of this summer. In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that donations be made to: Blaire House Of Tewksbury, 10 Erlin Terrace, Tewksbury, MA 01876, In memory of Eileen Ward. The Tewksbury Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ward family. tewksburyfuneralhome.com
