Stephen Kent Vanderluit, 67, of Anderson died April 27, 2020 at Community Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born October 17, 1952, the son of Paul F. and Anna Marguerite (Cox) Vanderluit. He was a tool & die maker at General Motors for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church. He was a Black Belt in Karate, a volunteer for Muscular Dystrophy Association. He enjoyed golfing. He coached little league and travel softball.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Barrett) Vanderluit of Anderson whom he married on July 30, 1971 in Anderson; his two daughters, Kelly (Sam) Quiroga of Pendleton; Angie Vanderluit (Graham Watson) of Muncie; three siblings, Don (Kay) Vanderluit of Anderson; David (Laura) Vanderluit of Shirley and Lisa (Chris) Ambrosetti of Yorktown; three grandsons, Thomas, Walker and Quinton; several nieces and nephews, including Krista Ambrosetti.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial of cremated remains will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
