Melissa is a beautiful soul who is very poetic and an extremely talented writer. She often contemplated the mysteries of the universe through her writings. She loved those who were closest to her fiercely and passionately. Her Kindness, loyalty and unconditional friendship was a gift to the world, that she shared freely. She will be severely missed by those who were lucky enough to have known her and love her. Her words give us all comfort through this dark time. Here is a piece she wrote this year before she passed.” If I die tonight, I mean I guess I would die happy. I have felt love, loss, and other people’s grievances, despair and joy. I have felt a lot in my short life. But I still get up, even when life feels impossible. When the weight of my feelings crushes my chest, when I cry for those who I love. I suppose it will continue on.”
