FAIRHAVEN — Priscilla Alden (Wing) Taylor passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020 at our Lady’s Haven where she had resided for many years. She was 98 years old.
Born in New Bedford to Lawrence and Mildred Wing she graduated New Bedford High, going on to the Children’s Hospital nursing program in Boston. Locally she was employed at many doctors’ offices as a medical assistant.
A member of Grace Episcopal Church, she was also active with the YWCA and volunteered with the Friendly Visitation Program, soup kitchen, and Market Ministries. Priscilla possessed an active and curious mind, an amazing memory and deep spiritual life. She gifted us with lessons of courage, acceptance, faith and love through her humor, song, her fervor in questions and conversations and her joy.
Her family wishes to thank all the staff of Our Lady’s Haven and Sister Eileen, the ARAW and Angela, Daryll and Megan from Beacon Hospice for their loving care and support of Priscilla over the years.
She is survived by her daughters, Rosalyn Alexander and Stephanie Moynier; granddaughter Stephanie Alexander; and great-granddaughter Taylor Alexander.
A virtual service will take place from Grace Episcopal Church on May 3rd at 12pm, contact the Rector at 508 993-0547 for details.
She will be laid to rest in private at the South Dartmouth Cemetery.
