Carlton D. "Cukie" Macomber, Jr., 94, of Westport, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. He was the husband of the late Alice E. (Davoll) Macomber.
Mr. Macomber was born in Westport, son of the late Carlton D. Macomber, Sr. and the late Edith R. (Sanford) Macomber, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. He was a founding member of the Westport Fisherman's Association, a member of the Noquochoke Lodge AF & AM of Westport, a 50 years member of the Grange and was a former member of the Westport Volunteer Firefighters Association. Cukie enjoyed boating on the Westport River, working on his commercial fishing boat, the "Cee Dee", gardening and he loved giving talks about Westport and the surrounding area.
Survivors include his 3 sons: Barry W. Macomber of Elmira, NY, Philip C. Macomber and his wife Martha of Westport and Paul R. Macomber and his wife Janice of Westport; granddaughter: Harmony; great grandson: Ryder; daughter-in-law: Donna Macomber; and several nieces and nephews.
