Roland P. Roy, age 89, passed away on April 26, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 24, 1930 in Chicopee, a son of the late Pierre and Blanche (Durand) Roy. Roland served in the US Air Force and was a Korean War Veteran. He later worked as a toolmaker for Danaher Company for 44 years before he retired in 1994. Roland is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Godden) Roy of Chicopee; 3 sons, Rob Roy and his wife Sara of Northport, FL, Bill Roy and his wife Laura of Satellite Beach, FL, and Jim Roy and his wife Cathy of Enfield, CT; 1 daughter, Cari Dodge and her husband Dan of South Hadley; 9 grandchildren, Chris, Jeff, Billy, Kathleen, Jordyn, Jake, Josh, Quinton and Ryan along with one great grandson Liam. He is predeceased by his siblings Roger, Donald, Yvette and Marcella "Marci" Roy. All services will be private. A memorial will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
