Lillian Burns Robinson, 101, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, April 26, 2020, at her residence.
Private services will be held.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Palatka, FL, on August 15, 1918. She moved in her childhood to Brunswick with her father's work, and then to Fitzgerald at the age of 7. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School and owned and operated Burns Dry Cleaners. Mrs. Robinson married in 1944, and moved with her husband to Macon, Albany, Great Lakes, Illinois, Arlington, Virginia, Honolulu, Hawaii, and Falls Church, Virginia before returning to Fitzgerald. She was a charter member of the Fitzgerald Pilot Club. Mrs. Robinson was an avid reader, an avid seamstress and an avid lover of all things family. She loved and was loved and will be greatly missed. She was a member of Ocilla United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas A. “Tommy” & Beth Robinson of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Andy Robinson of Valdosta, Patrick Robinson & Sindia of Portland, Oregon, Mathew Robinson & Maggie of Loganville, Scott Robinson & Aimee of Douglas, Sarah Robinson of Houston, Texas, Mary Robinson of Fitzgerald, Anna Robinson of Fitzgerald, and Gracie Robinson of Fitzgerald; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Rita Crews of Fort Myers, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Robinson, Jr.; three grandchildren: Timothy Daniel "Timmy" Robinson, Samuel James “Sammy” Robinson, and Amy Hope Robinson; two infant sisters; and a brother, Tommy Burns.
