Evelyn L. Sheffield, 81, of Warner Robins, Georgia, died Saturday, April 25, 2020, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Sheffield was born May 18, 1938, in Minot, North Dakota, to the late Herman Christian & Lola Katheryn Hensel Guelle. She was a nurse while living in Oakland, California and was part of a neighborhood watch. She served as president of the Wilmington Place Homeowner’s Association in Warner Robins. She was a homemaker and while living in Irwin County, she worked as a substitute teacher for Irwin County Middle and High Schools. Mrs. Sheffield enjoyed crafts, sewing, knitting, working in her yards and cooking. Mrs. Sheffield was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Jeff & Christy Sheffield of Ocilla and Sue & Bob Rosinski of Warner Robins; grandchildren: Keegan Sheffield, Anna Sheffield, Shane & Theresa Baldwin , Rhiannon Rosinski and Tyler Rosinski and two great-grandchildren: Zurianna Rosinski and Isabela Baldwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Whitten Sheffield and a grandson, Jonathon Jeffrey Sheffield.
