CHICOPEE – Lorraine Lavoie, 80, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee and a longtime resident of Fall River, was Called Safely Home on Friday, April 24, 2020. She was born in Fall River on June 15, 1939, a beloved daughter of the late Joseph G. and Marie-Marthe Lavoie. She was the former secretary and housekeeper for many years at Saint Jean Baptiste Church, now Holy Trinity Church, in Fall River. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. She leaves her brother, Robert J. Lavoie of Chicopee; her sister, Louise Poitras of Unionville, CT; and her many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, friends and extended members of the family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Wilfred Lavoie; her sister-in-law, Renate Lavoie; and her brother-in-law, Andrew Poitras. There are no visiting hours. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. Lorraine will be privately inurned at Notre Dame Mausoleum in Fall River.
