Peter H. Valois, 66, of Manville died Tuesday April 21, 2020 at Miriam Hospital in Providence.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Gustave and Therese (Roy) Valois. Peter was a proud lifelong resident of Manville, a community he loved very much.
In his earlier years Peter worked in the construction industry.
Peter was a lifelong communicant of St. James Parish. In his youth he was very active at the Fr. Marot CYO Center in Woonsocket.
Peter was a staunch New England Patriots fan. Each and every football season Peter would faithfully root for “his Patriots” It brought Peter much fun and satisfaction to see the Patriots win a number of Superbowls in recent years. Tom Brady, Gronk and Coach Belichick might not know it, but Peter Valois was the Patriots “Number 1” fan in Manville.
Peter also was an avid reader and liked to spend time engrossed in a good book, especially biographies.
Peter lived life on his own terms. Peter put his trust in God and tried each day to live his life the best he could through being kind and loving to the people in his life.
Peter is survived by his companion of many years Eileen Andrews of Manville and relatives and friends in the Manville area.
In accordance with current public health guidelines burial will be private. Peter will be laid to rest alongside his parents in St. James Cemetery, Manville.
A Memorial Mass for the repose of Peter’s soul will be held at St. James Church, 33 Division St. Manville on a day and time when such gatherings will be permitted. Please refer to the funeral home web site for updated information.
