James “Jim” C. Fisher
May 28, 1942 to - April 23, 2020

TEWKSBURY: James “Jim” C. Fisher, age 77, a resident of Tewksbury, MA for over 50 years, passed away at Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Thursday, April 23, 2020. He was the loving family man to his wife Donna M. (Morris) for 54 years; his son James C. Fisher, Jr. and his wife Amy of Dracut MA; his daughters Tracey L. Pare and her husband Rick of Marlborough MA and Debra A. Kelleher and her husband James of Dracut MA. He was the proud “Grampy” to Ryan, Shawn and Rebecca Fisher of Dracut MA, Alexandria and Cody Pare of Marlborough MA and Brady and Payton Kelleher of Dracut MA.

Jim was born in Boston, MA on May 28, 1942 and grew up in Roxbury, Wilmington and Tewksbury with his late parents Clifford and Florence (Hebb) Fisher. He was educated in the Wilmington school system and graduated from Wilmington High School in 1960. He then enlisted into the United States Navy as a Diesel Engine Operator and served on the USS Constitution as well as the USS Glacier in Antarctica . He was awarded the Antarctica Service Medal for his active duty service. Upon his honorable discharge, he married his childhood sweetheart Donna and began his life of family.

Jim was employed for over 35 years as a Ramp Service Man for TWA as well as American Airlines prior to his retirement. He loved to camp, especially at Cold Springs Campground located in Weare, NH, where he had spent 30 plus years doing so surrounded by friends and family. He also enjoyed to fish, especially trying to catch the “Blues Running”, playing cribbage with all of his camping friends, and most of all he loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting and athletic events. Jim’s family meant the world to him and he cherished his friends. He also had the gift of being able to talk to anyone about anything, making friends every place he went. He was called “Mr. Friendly'' by his children.

Besides his beloved wife and family, he leaves behind his sister-in-law Anne Fisher of Lowell, brother and sister-in-law Charlie and Susan Duggan of Tewksbury, sister-in-law Mary Ann Fertitta of Tewksbury and brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Julie Morris of Windham, NH. He was the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Lawrence Fisher.
