Jean Dereste Dorcely (59) of Brockton died April 21st in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston.
He was born in Monrepos, Haiti, son of the late Taline (Jeune) Dorcely and Monuma Dorcely. Jean was a cab driver for Uber. He was a communicant of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Boston and loved watching football and soccer.
Jean is survived by his life long companion Altagrace Pierre of Brockton, 3 sons, Kenney and Jordan Dorcely both of Brockton, Jeffrey Dorcely of Florida, a daughter Issadorah Dorcely of Brockton, 3 sisters, Philomene, Gertha and Yollone Dorcely, 2 grandchildren, Immacula and Benjamin, many nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 State, National Mandate and for the Health and Safety of the Community, Services for Jean Dorcely will be held privately at the family's convenience. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery.
