Linda Bauer, 69

Linda (Irwin) Bauer, age 69, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Baypointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Brockton. She was the beloved wife of Dennis H. Bauer, to whom she was wed over forty years.
Born in Rugby, England on June 30, 1950, she was a loving daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Pell) Irwin.
Linda grew up in New Bedford and was a graduate of new Bedford High School. Prior to retiring, she had worked for over thirty years as a telephone operator at New England telephone.
A resident of Taunton for the past fifteen years, she had previously made her home in Raynham. She treasured the times spent with her adoring family and when younger was an accomplished pianist with the distinction of performing at Carnegie Hall.
Linda’s hobbies included trips to Foxwoods Casino, eating and always joking around. She will always be remembered for the special place she held in her heart for animals, especially the cats that adorned her house for throughout the years and also the one’s she rescued.
In addition to husband, she is survived. By her devoted daughters: Betsy Pacheco and her wife Shannon of Brockton and Heidi Pittman of Florida. She was the cherished grandmother of Michelle O’Connor and Abigail and Madeline Pittman.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours have been omitted.
