Marie Antoinette (Cedrone) DelVendo passed away peacefully at the Watertown Health Center. She was 102. Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Gerardo and Carmela (Tremontozzi) Cedrone. A Somerville resident for most of her life, Antoinette enjoyed a long career working as an administrator and interpreter for the Department of Labor and Industry of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She also worked at the famed Widener Library at Harvard University. A devoted wife mother and grandmother, Antoinette loved to be with her family, especially to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The beloved wife of the late Anthony DelVendo who passed away in 1966, Antoinette was a devoted mother to Phyllis Covington and her husband Gene of Somerville, and Maurice DelVendo and his wife Donna of Medford. She was a loving grandmother to Christopher DelVendo and his wife Louise of North Carolina and Joseph DelVendo of Medford as well as a loving great-grandmother to Joshua, Alysha and Joseph. The dear sister of the late Jim Cedrone, Laura Muscarella, Anna Rickman, Florence Larkin, Nancy Orban and Luana Moscia, she leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
Funeral service and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery will be private.
